In a desperate attempt to get the creative juices flowing, I stole this idea from a buddy (see My Blog List). One picture, every day. See what comes out.

These are just so awesome! The rock stacks are so very zen-like.
Cool pics (sounds like a Nikon commercial). Looks like you guys were having fun. Someone did a rock stacking project like that a few years back at Belle Isle here. It was pretty cool.

Erin, re: your comments on pbase. The structures were actually there most of a summer...perhaps when you guys were here and we ran at Belle Isle??? Someone came and worked on them a little at a time. Most of them were done with concrete pieces placed on the shore to prevent erosion. In general, I do like the contrast between flowers/ concrete...delicate/harsh etc.
Jack is a great guy to play with, isn't he? Who thought of stacking rocks, the photographer or her accomplice? these photos are all fun for me, especially the wash. Was that your very neat clotheline? LB
Rock piles are not an uncommon sight around these parts (or, apparently, in Detroit, looking at Keith's photos -- http://www.pbase.com/yokeith).
This was part of a environmental found art class that Elana taught at the local beach. Jack decided to try his hand at it, with a great deal of success.
